WEST POINT Bruce Barrett has been named to replace Gary Williams on the Madison Township Board of Trustees.
Trustees Wayne Chamberlain and Roger Walker chose Barrett at this week’s meeting to fill Williams’ seat on the board. Williams, who had served as trustee for a combined 30 years, died Nov. 26 at age 77. The remaining trustees had 30 days to name a replacement or it would be left to the county juvenile/probate court judge.
Chamberlain said they had four people who told them they were interested in the position and they decided on Barrett because of his prior interest after having run for trustee several times before.
