We are just hours from possibly learning a motive in a School Shooting that rattled the tristate. The suspect will make his first appearance in juvenile court, accused of opening fire in the madison high cafeteria during lunch. Lunch. Chris riva, was at the school just after the shooting. And is live there once again this morning. Adlib Austin Hancock, faces felony attempted murder charges. Police say he shot 15yearold Cameron Smith and 14yearold cooper caffery. Theyre in the hospital, doing okay this morning well enough to have received visitors who say the two are in high spirits. Two more students were hurt by flying shrapnel. His message mentioned evil could find them even in madison township. And less than 24 hours later it did. But thats not even the part that might surprise most of you at home. He was 14. Which is the cutoff. And is charged with felonies. He could be tried as an adult. If the prosecutor decides to do that a hearing would have to be held to determine if he should be transferred to adult court. Today the entire staff teachers, bus drivers, custodians is inside discussing how to move forward after the shooting that injured four. In court, wearing shackles around the. And the day after, parents escorted their children from school after the shooting, investigators were releasing new information. Butler county sheriff, hancock waited in the lunch room, until a School Resource officer walked out and then he said, hancock open fire. What followed were frantic 911 calls. Theres a shooting, got a gun and started shooting people. How many people did he shoot. How many people did they shoot . Im not sure. He started shooting. Appears he waited for the officer to lay. And he knew the officer would come back and he was correct. Within seconds.
