Carrying on ‘dreams from the past’ MSMS, local students to produce Eighth of May celebration to commemorate local Black history Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science senior Jaylin Jones performs a spoken word poem he wrote called “White Black” at a dress rehearsal for the Eighth of May Emancipation Celebration at Sandfield Cemetery on Wednesday.
