Hip 1 through the sale was Scarlet Fusion, a two-time winning son of Curlin with a deep page. Sharp landed the colt for $110,000 on behalf of owners Brad Grady and Carl R. Moore Management, and he got on with the rest of his day.

Race fans are being treated to a Grade II race Wednesday with a field of nine entered for the Honorable Miss Handicap, run over six furlongs on the Main Track. The eighth race will be highlighted by Bell’s the One (7-5), who looks to secure her fifth win in five tries at this distance.
The Neil Pessin-trainee has been in Grade I company for a full year, with the exception of her last race, the ungraded Rolexana Overnight Stakes on June 19. She ran well to secure the win that day under longtime jockey Corey Lanerie, who gets the mount again. A consistent runner, Bell’s the One should be counted on to stay off the pace until the last moment. So long as she is not boxed in late, she should be expected to be challenging in the stretch.
