Wisconsin opens investigation of sexual abuse in the state s five dioceses

The Wisconsin Department of Justice is opening a statewide investigation of abuse by clergy and faith leaders within the state s five dioceses. We re conducting this review to promote greater accountability and to promote healing for victims as well as improving the response to abuse and preventing future abuse cases, said Attorney General Josh Kaul during an April 27 news conference outside the Wisconsin State Capitol. Leaders of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the dioceses of Green Bay, La Crosse and Madison, acknowledged in statements released as Kaul was meeting with reporters that they joined the attorney general during a teleconference April 26 to discuss the planned investigation.

In fact, there was a sign rousted about the Capitol building the other day that read Pelosi is Satan. Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, a Catholic and a Democrat.

Harlem School District names Michael Flanagan as new superintendent

MACHESNEY PARK  The Harlem School Board approved a contract with Michael Flanagan on Monday night to fill the role of district superintendent beginning July 1. Flanagan will replace Julie Morris, who is retiring at the end of June. The board s vote was 7-0. According to the Harlem School District, Flanagan started his professional career teaching middle and high school music in the neighboring North Boone School District after earning his bachelor’s degree in music education from Northern Illinois University. Flanagan then taught high school music at Richmond-Burton Community High School while earning a master s degree in education. Shortly after, he pursued a second master’s degree in administrative leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which led him to accept a position as an elementary school principal in Beloit.
