8-year-old boy dies in accidental shooting in Goodlettsville

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â Goodlettsville Police officials are investigating an apparent accidental shooting that killed an 8-year-old boy.

The incident happened at a home in the Long Hollow Place subdivision Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to a report of an accidental shooting at the home on the 100 block of Elizabeth Court around 9:15 a.m.
They found the child injured by what appeared to be an accidental gunshot wound. He was transported to an area medical center and later died.
He was a Madison Creek Elementary School student. MCE Principal Jon Duncan sent the following note to parents about Brayden s death.
