A suspect in an Alabama kidnapping case was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol after a high-speed chase ended in Madison County Monday morning.
Iziquel Vang, 21, was booked on multiple charges, including grand theft and kidnapping, and is being held in the Madison County Correctional Facility.
A teenager was kidnapped Sunday and Vang, while driving her silver Mitsubishi, traveled into Georgia where a chase began after midnight, according to a statement. It wasn t clear immediately whether the two knew each other.
The pursuit took law enforcement into Madison County south on U.S. Highway 221 when FHP joined in, FHP Sgt. James Smith said.

WOOD RIVER The Madison County Health Department has suspended its use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
On Tuesday morning, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced it was pausing the use of the J&J vaccine. In a joint statement Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration said they were investigating unusual clots in six women that occurred 6 to 13 days after vaccination.
