WOOD RIVER The Madison County Health Department on Thursday announced it was ending 2020 with a total of 365 COVID-19 related deaths in the county.
The health department reported three new COVID-19 related fatalities on Thursday, a woman in her sixties and two men in their 70s and 80s. It also announced 272 new confirmed and probable virus cases, for a total count of 20,629 cases during 2020.
According to the health department, 1,433 tests also were reported Thursday for a year-long total of 191,959.

WOOD RIVER The Madison County Health Department on Sunday afternoon reported three new COVID-19 related deaths in the county.
The deceased were identified as two men in their 70s and one woman in her 80s. So far, 311 people have died in the county from COVID.
On Sunday the county reported 303 new confirmed and probably COVID-19 cases, for a total 17,336. It also reported 1,508 tests for a total of 167,738.
As of Sunday, there were 93 COVID patients in Madison County hospitals, seven on ventilators.
The seven-day positivity rate was 14.72% on Sunday.
