EDWARDSVILLE Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Haine said an Alton man is charged with “truly the worst” type of crime for the alleged sexual assault of an infant.
On Monday charges were filed against Devin P. Brazier, 27, of Alton, for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-month-old infant on May 20. The investigation remains ongoing.
“Crimes against innocent children are truly the worst,” Haine said in a prepared statement. “These charges are just the most recent example of Madison County’s dedicated efforts to bring child predators to justice. Everyone’s vigilance is key to this effort. We encourage citizens to get involved and report possible crimes against innocent children so wrongdoers can be held accountable in a court of law.”
