On Tuesday, officials from the City of Madison were on the agenda at the Madison County Board of Commissioners meeting to address a dispute over who should pay for public
The resolution to increase council pay from $15,000 to $24,218 required 15 votes from the 20-member council and it came up just short. Attempts to increase their pay by lesser amounts also failed.
The finalists will be interviewed in person on Feb. 6 by panels of students, parents and caregivers. The public can watch via livestream and submit feedback to the board.
