Kyle Troutman/editor@cassville-democrat.com Cassville staying positive in injury-plagued season It is arguable that no athletics program in the area has been hit as hard by injuries as the Cassville girls soccer team, especially hit where it hurts the most. The Lady Wildcats (2-11) started the season 2-1 and full of optimism and confidence after taking second in their home tournament. Since then, Cassville has fallen in 11 straight, suffering from the absence of the starting center forward and playmaker, Madison Bowyer, and the starting goalkeeper, Jasmine Brown.

Kyle Troutman/editor@cassville-democrat.com Lady Wildcats hold high expectations for upcoming season It has been exactly 655 days since the Cassville girls soccer team has played a match, and the Lady Wildcats are hungry for their first taste of the 2021 season. Cassville got a couple weeks of preseason practice in the books in 2020 before COVID-19 wiped out the season, and while there was no shortage of disappointment a year ago, there is plenty of anticipation to go around this spring.
