Oman s share index ends marginally higher

Muscat: The MSM index closed at 3,612.37 points, up 0.29 per cent from the previous close. The Sharia Index ended down 0.06 per cent at 540.54 points. Arabia Falcon, up 10.00 per cent, was the top gainer while OIFB, down 50.0 per cent, was the top loser. Shares of United Finance were the most active in terms of the number of shares traded while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 393 trades were executed during the day s trading session, generating a turnover of OMR0.73 million, with more than 6.13 million shares changing hands. Out of 40 traded stocks, 11 advanced, 10 declined and 19 remained unchanged. At the session close, local investors were net buyers for OMR39,000 while GCC & Arab investors were net sellers for OMR38,000 followed by foreign investors for OMR1,000 worth of shares.

Omanya F.B 2020 Insurance, up 38.00 per cent, was the top gainer, while Al Oula Company, down 50.00 per cent, was the top loser. Shares of Al Madina Investment was the most active in terms of number of shares traded and Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 484 trades were executed during the day s trading session, generating turnover of OMR1.25 million, with more than 10.7 million shares changing hands. Out of 42 traded stocks, 16 advanced, 7 declined and 19 remained unchanged. At the session close, local investors were net sellers for OMR340,000 while GCC & Arab investors were net buyers for OMR300,000 followed by foreign investors for OMR40,000 worth of shares.

Al Hassan Engineer, up 71.43 per cent, was the top gainer while Al Maha Marketing, down 8.02 per cent, was the top loser. Shares of Al Madina Takaful was the most active in terms of the number of shares traded and also was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 474 trades were executed during the day s trading session, generating a turnover of OMR1.133 million, with more than 8.34 million shares changing hands. Out of 42 traded stocks, 16 advanced, 8 declined and 18 remained unchanged. At the session close, local Investors were net sellers for OMR116,000 while foreign investors were net buyers for OMR111,000 followed by GCC & Arab investors for OMR4,000 worth of shares.
