ANC provincial convener Oscar Mabuyane said he deserved a second term because of the “credible work” his leadership collective had done for the ANC and the people of the Eastern Cape.
Hundreds of ANC delegates aligned to Babalo Madikizela, who is running for ANC Eastern Cape chair, made a loud entrance at the Eastern Cape elective conference on Saturday.
“I don’t have money [for vote buying],” said Eastern Cape ANC chairperson hopeful Oscar Mabuyane in response to allegations of vote buying before this weekend's provincial conference.
ANC members aligned with Babalo Madikizela, one of the Eastern Cape leadership candidates at the provincial conference, refused to enter the venue on Saturday.
