Embattled DA Western Cape leader Bonginkosi Madikizela has pleaded with the party not to destroy his political career after he admitted to having misrepresented his qualifications.
Madikizela is currently on suspension as MEC for transport and stepped aside as the official opposition’s leader after he was caught lying about holding a B.Com degree.

Western Cape transport and public works MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela has been suspended over claims that he has a BCom degree in human resource management and for misleading a journalist in this regard.
Premier Alan Winde announced that Madikizela will be suspended for 14 days while an investigation determines all the facts regarding his incomplete BCom degree saga.

Hours after being suspended from his government position, Western Cape transport and public works MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela has “voluntarily stepped aside” as the DA s provincial leader.
TimesLIVE has seen a letter dated April 15, sent from DA provincial chairperson Jaco Londt to the party structures in the province, informing them that Madikizela s deputy Albert Fritz would act in his place for two weeks.

Despite the National Prosecuting Authority s decision to dismiss the rape case against DJs Fresh and Euphonik, the fight in the public court is ongoing. The family of the woman who opened the case have issued a statement, hitting back at Fresh s claims about them.
Rape allegations against the DJ duo came to light early last month after a woman took to Twitter with her accusations, before opening a case against them. Earlier this week, NPA North Gauteng regional spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana said the authority had decided not to prosecute due to “a lack of sufficient evidence”.

DJ duo Thato “DJ Fresh” Sikwane and Themba “DJ Euphonik” Nkosi on Monday claimed that the rape case against them had been “dismissed” by the National Prosecuting Authority but this could not be immediately independently verified.
Rape allegations against the duo came to light early last month after a woman took to Twitter to make the accusations.
