Tigers hit 100-points for the first time since 2009, defeating Longwood 102-61

Clemson, S.C. - Clemson women’s basketball celebrated a game for the record books on Sunday afternoon, tying the school record for threes and achieving the highest-scoring quarter in history in the first quarter in their 102-61 win against Longwood (1-4). The Tigers (4-1) also hit the 100-point milestone for the first time since December 6, 2009.  Clemson scored 33 points in the first quarter, jumping out to a 24-point advantage, as Clemson hit 14 of its 20 field goal attempts. The Tigers’ 14 three-pointers tied the school record for makes, set last season against Wofford on Nov. 10, 2022. Four different Tigers hit three or more three-pointers in the game, including Madi Ott (4), Dayshanette Harris (3), Mackenzie Kramer (3) and Nya Valentine(3). Second-Half Surge Leads Clemson Past Winthrop for Butler’s 300th Win CLEMSON, S.C. - Amari Robinson scored 22 points, Madi Cluse added 14 points in her Clemson debut, and Ruby Whitehorn scored 13 points as the women’s basketball team used a big second half in a 71-41 win over Winthrop (0-1) to open the 2023-24 season at Littlejohn Coliseum. Head Coach Amanda Butler earned her 300th career victory and 70th leading the Clemson program. Clemson outscored the Eagles 46-20 in the second half, shooting 17-28 (.607) from the floor and scored 15 points off 11 turnovers to pull away. Program Record Nine Tigers Named to All-ACC Academic Team

A program-record and ACC-leading nine Tigers earned All-ACC Academic Team recognition for their performance both in the classroom and on the court, it was announced today by Commissioner Jim Phillips.Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.Amari Robinson picked up the honor for the fourth-consecutive year, while Hannah Hank garnered her third honor. Joining them on the All-ACC Academic Team are Daisha Bradford, Ale'Jah Douglas, MaKayla Elmore, Kionna Gaines, Madi Ott, Brie Perpignan, and Ruby Whitehorn.Pitt and Syracuse placed eight on the All-ACC Academic Team. Duke, Florida State, Louisville and Notre Dame had seven apiece. The team features 86 student-athletes, with at least one from each of the ACC’s 15 programs.

Second Half Surge Secures Tiger Victory, 57-41

CLEMSON, S.C. - Clemson women’s basketball held Georgia Tech scoreless in the final 8:16 of play on Thursday night to help secure a 57-41 victory against the Yellow Jackets in Littlejohn Coliseum. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak, including two overtime losses, to move Clemson to 14-12 overall and 5-9 in ACC play. Nine different Tigers scored with senior Amari Robinson finishing with a team-high 15 points going 6-for-10 from the floor. This was Robinson’s 13 double-digit point performance this season.
