SHINNSTON, W.Va. Sophomore Delany Haller went the distance in the circle and hit a solo home run to help Lincoln stay perfect on the season with a 7-0 win over Bridgeport.
Haller scattered eight hits and struck out nine batters without issuing a walk. Her solo home run in the fourth inning opened up a three-run frame, giving the Cougars a 7-0 lead. Lincoln scored one run in the first and three more in the second.
Eight of nine batters in Lincoln’s (11-0) starting lineup had at least one hit. Lexi Whitsel went 4-for-4 with a double. Madi Martin had three hits. Haller, Hannah Ferris, Alexis Williams, Destiny Cunningham and Karris Drain each had multi-hit games.
