AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting on Navaratnalu - Pedalandariki Illu and said construction of houses in Jagananna colonies will start on June 1.
During the review meeting held at camp office here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the process for grounding the works by May 25. He said the works should not be stopped because of curfew and activities should be held from 6 AM to 12 PM. He said water and electricity facilities should be provided in the colonies immediately as they are important to start construction.
He said a model house should be construed in every layout and a detailed report on it should be generated later. The details on expenditure, savings, modifications and other issues can be reviewed based on the reports. Amaravati, April 26 : Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, on Monday directed officials to prepare for providing uninterrupted unlimited high band Internet connectivity to all the villages in the state.
During a review meeting, the chief minister also called for increasing the Internet capacity to 20 GB if necessary to provide Internet facility with unlimited capacity in villages so that it would be easy to work from home.
Officials have been instructed to prepare an action plan to provide Internet facility to 31 lakh houses in YSR Jagananna colonies that are being constructed. Underground cables are to be laid in 108 cyclone-affected villages. The plan is to provide Internet facility in all the villages by 2023.

Apart from 521 bed strength at the Government hospital here for admitting patients testing positive for COVID-19 virus, the district administration has established two more new facilities with 100 beds each, said District Collector P Madhusudan Reddy here on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters after a review meeting with the officials and doctors from the Health Department, he said that as a precautionary measure, 100 beds each have been kept ready at Pannai Engineering College campus in Sivaganga and at SMH Hospital, Tirupathur. Already, there were 72 beds in Amaravathipudur TB Hospital, he added.

Two police officials have also been suspended in connection with the case,they said.
Among those arrested are Raghavendra Reddy, one of the two partners of the quarry.
He was arrested from Anantapur district of
Andhra Pradesh. Others arrested are said to be employees linked to the quarry.
They are- Venkatashiva Reddy, Praveen, Mohammed Riyaz Ansari (driver) and
Madhusudan Reddy, police said. GS Nagaraj, another partner of the quarry, is still on the run, and police are looking for him.
