Governor says the State will soon become a digital powerhouse
Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology (commonly referred to as Digital University Kerala), the 15th university in the State, formally came into being at Technocity in Mangalapuram on the outskirts of the capital on Saturday.
Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, who inaugurated the university through videoconferencing, said the university would provide impetus to the State’s dream of becoming the digital powerhouse of India as well as a global hub of digital activity.
Uniindia: Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 18 (UNI) Global IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday firmed up its plans to expand its operations in Kerala by signing a Memorandum of Understanding for leasing of 97 acres of land at the Technocity at Pallipuram near here, which will bring a hefty investment of Rs 1200-1500 crore to the state.

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 25 : Six personalities from Kerala made to the list of Padma awardees from various fields. The Padma awardees included versatile singer K S Chithra, who has been conferred Padma Bhushan while Kaithapram Damodaran Namboodiri, O Madhavan Nambiar, Balan Pootheri, Dhananjaya Sudhakar and KK Ramachandra Pulavaar were conferred Padma Shri.
Chithra, a Padma Bhushan recipient, has rendered songs in Malayalam, Tamil ,Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. She is known as Malayalam s Vanambadi which means the singer of the state.
