They say it is not a change in policy but it is a continuation. The reason, working with immigration would make it impossible to work with the public to solve crimes. They said it makes everyone less safe. I and my officers are committed to maintaining active Community Involvement to reassure the trust that we have working so hard to achieve. This has been a long standing policy. They were at the forefront of creating a Community Policing framework back in the 1980s.
