The rain is most likely to be seen during this afternoon and evening. Maximum temperatures will be slightly lower than yesterday, with Maleny expected to reach 18C and the rest of the region on 21C. High tide was at 1.70m at 12.08am and low tide will be at 7.01am at 0.73m. The next high tide will reach 1.14m at 12.20pm and low tide is scheduled for 6.02pm at 0.66m.

Subscriber only A convicted Sunshine Coast synthetic cannabis trafficker has had her life ruined due to seven year delay in the court proceedings. Phaedra Joy Barrett, 49, pleaded guilty on Monday to trafficking and producing dangerous drugs from April 2013 to August 2014, and possessing cash and other items used to run her synthetics cannabis business on the Sunshine Coast. The mother of two had previously appealed a court ruling after she was found guilty by a judge-only trial and sentenced to two years imprisonment in 2020. Barrett had served 198 days in prison before winning her appeal and was released on bail.

Maximum temperatures will be slightly higher today, with Maleny expected to reach a top of 23C, Caloundra on 25C and Maroochydore, Noosa Heads and Nambour on 26C. High tide was at 5.18am at 1.67m and low tide will be at 11.46am at 0.47m. The next high tide will reach 1.54m at 5.55pm and low tide is scheduled for 11.53pm at 0.61m.

WEATHER REPORT AND TIDES Rain is on the cards for the Coast today as the weather bureau predicts a 95 per cent chance of showers for the region. The wet weather is expected in the late morning and afternoon and there s also the possibility of a thunderstorm. The bureau says the storm could hit from late this morning and possibly be severe. Maleny will reach a top of 21C while the rest of the Coast reaches between 24-25C. High tide was at 3.37am at 1.70m and low tide will be at 10.25am at 0.58m. The next high tide will reach 1.31m at 4.18pm and low tide will be at 10.03pm at 0.69m.
