SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State’s Myah Selland was named Women’s Player of the Year and coaches from South Dakota schools were named Coaches of the Year in the Summit League basketball postseason awards, announced Thursday.
Selland, whose season recently ended with a knee injury, averaged a league-leading 19.2 points per game with 6.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, five double-doubles and six player of the week honors.
Selland’s head coach, Aaron Johnston, won the Summit League Women’s Coach of the Year honor for the fifth time. Johnston led SDSU to an unbeaten 14-0 record in league play.
