SINGAPORE: A 22-year-old man was sentenced to 12 weeks jail on Thursday (May 20) for causing the death of a 64-year-old woman while riding his personal mobility device (PMD).
Hung Kee Boon, a Singapore permanent resident, collided with Madam Ong Bee Eng while riding a non-compliant e-scooter on a cycling path near Bedok North Street 3 on Sep 21, 2019.
Singapore News - An e-scooter rider who was riding a non-compliant device when it struck a 64-year-old cyclist in 2019, causing fatal injuries, was sentenced yesterday to 12 weeks' jail. SINGAPORE: A 22-year-old man pleaded guilty on Tuesday (May 5) to causing the death of a 64-year-old woman while riding his personal mobility device (PMD).
Hung Kee Boon also admitted to a charge of riding a non-compliant PMD on a shared path.
