Vehicles of MCE, MCD confiscated on orders of court
Two official vehicles of Asante Mampong Municipal Assembly for use by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Appiah-Kubi, and the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) have been confiscated on the orders of a court.
The said vehicles were confiscated last Wednesday February 10, 2020, in the afternoon, between the hours of 3 and 4.
Mr. Godwin Anto, Presiding Member of the Municipal Assembly, who confirmed the confiscation of the vehicles to the media, said it followed a legal action by one Madam Vida Karikari against the Assembly.
He claimed the Assembly had reportedly demolished the petitioner’s building which was at the foundation level on a piece of land she bought from the traditional authority with all the relevant documents.
