Touring MacPherson Garden Estate: Possibly the cheapest freehold landed estate in Singapore (under $2 5 million)

MacPherson Garden Estate is a small cluster of landed houses whose claim to fame is being amongst the cheapest freehold landed enclaves in Singapore. This is, of course, why I decided to hop over and tour the area and its surroundings. It has been rather popular recently, perhaps because of the Covid-19 fuelled property boom as well as the Paya.

Ron Phua Kuan Haw, 41, was yesterday sentenced to nine weeks jail. The Singaporean had pleaded guilty to two counts each of harassment and using criminal force on a public servant. He had also admitted to one count of mischief. On the evening of Nov 29, 2018, Phua had drinks at a MacPherson Mall bar and left shortly after midnight. The bar owner noticed that Phua had left his cap behind and asked a man to return it to him.
