Motorcyclist killed in Shurling Drive crash Sunday night Listen to the content of this post: MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in east Macon Sunday night. That’s according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, which said the accident happened just after 8 o’clock on Shurling Drive near Eastview Avenue. Investigators say they were told a motorcyclist, whose identity has not been revealed pending notification of next of kin, was traveling west on Shurling Drive. The motorcycle traveled into the turning lane before striking a concrete median and then a vehicle heading east on Shurling Drive.

Woman dies following house fire in Macon MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is dead following a house fire in Macon Sunday morning. According to Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, a house at 3147 Brookwood Drive caught fire around 9:45 a.m. Jones said 59-year-old Rebecca Young was taken to Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center, where she died from smoke and soot inhalation at 10:30 a.m. Jones said Macon-Bibb County fire department is investigating the cause of the fire.
