Piedmont Macon has presented its Community Hero Award to Freddie Stewart Jr., the director of the Macon RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) Program.
The final journey of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter commenced from Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus on Monday as a motorcade bearing her legacy passed through Peach County on its way to the Carter Presidential Library in Atlanta.
