New Zealand s biggest one-day agricultural show is all ready for a financial fightback following the Covid-19 cancellation of the 2020 event. Between 12,000 and 15,000 people are expected through the gates of Fairlie s showgrounds for the 123rd Mackenzie A&P Highland Show on Easter Monday, with the event committee hoping to recover losses caused by the global pandemic. “It s hard to quantify the loss in a financial way,” Mackenzie A&P Society secretary Jodi Payne said of the event s fifth cancellation in 122 years.
