Japan's Haruka Kitaguchi won gold in the javelin throw on Friday at the World Championships in Budapest. She became the first Japanese world champion with a throw of 66.73 m in her last attempt.Kitaguchi, 25, finished ahead of Colombia's Flor Denis Ruiz Hurtado and Australia's Mackenzie Little.
