A light is believed to have sparked a fire inside a lowset building in South Mackay.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said two fire crews attended the scene on Scott St about 8.45am.
The spokeswoman said the fire had been extinguished before crews arrived.
It is believed a light in the building had caught alight.

Subscriber only Police are investigating a vehicle fire in Hay Point after the driver was nowhere to be found. Emergency services were called to McCarthy Street at 2.48am Tuesday. No one required transport to hospital but paramedics remained on standby. A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said crews arrived at the scene to find a car engulfed in flames about 3am. He said it took about 40 minutes for QFES and rural fire service firefighters to put out the blaze. A Queensland Police spokesman said no one was found at the scene and investigations were continuing. In a separate incident, two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Red Hill Road, Moranbah about 5.18am Tuesday.

UPDATE 10.30AM: Firefighters have extinguished a fire that inside a three-bay shed at a private property south of Mackay this morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene along the Bruce Highway at Clairview about 7.40am.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said urban crews from Mackay and Sarina had put out the blaze just before 9am.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police were still at the property to continue investigations into how the fire started.
He said there were reports fuel tanks had “gone off” in the fire.
