Reporter the department of justice appointed a special counsel to take over the investigation into russias interference with the 2016 election, including possible collusion with the trump campaign. The man now leading the investigation, former fbi director robert mueller. Whatever investigation goes on will have the credibility of bob mueller, former director of the fbi, and a renowned lawyer. Reporter now mueller will have all of the authority of a u. S. Attorney including the ability to take the matter before a grand jury and the ability to issue subpoenas. Abcs chief Legal Affairs chief says mueller will have the daunting taf of addressing all the recent controversies surrounding the white house.
