something out of this deal. they will do anything they can, because the political conservative movement in america understands one thing. power. they demanded ransom just for doing their job. look, we can be back from ted cruz. it was the mean old republicans. you know what s going to happen. he s not going to back down. it s and him. mano-a-mano. this is a macho thing! i ve got to be a macho it s a macho thing? well, o reilly knows everything about that, doesn t he? is good to have you with us tonight, folks. i guess we ve got some breaking news right at the start of the program tonight. at this hour, this guy, john boehner, and the other republican leaders are going to be over at the white house. and, of course, the parties are going to come together, the key parties meet with the president. of course, they say the president doesn t reach out. so i don t know, maybe it s tea and crumb pets. maybe that will do it. this meeting, of course, is about the government shutdown
because for most fans, i don t think they really care as long as you can score. i agree. as long as you win. that s right. i don t think it matters. just win, baby. you re right. and, again, just being in those locker rooms and clubhouses, you ve got the macho thing and this is the way they feel that it s got to be. the fans would not have a problem with it. the culture of sports. but i also think it s interesting what you said about the executives. because you re coming outs you know, people say, oh, congratulations or whatever, but you never know what people are saying behind closed doors. what the executives are saying, is this a distraction to the team? we want to win. is the press going to be just around jason rather than around the team? and all of those things are going through their heads. doesn t necessarily mean they re homophobic but means they re businesspeople. i ll give an example here. that s right. just get off of this subject and look at somebody like a b
gun. clint, the vast majority of these shootings that we re talking about are young men who are about 16, 17 to 25 years old. what is it about the psychology, the ego, the testosterone of being a young man that makes this come to this young violence head so often? well, you know, when we re young i think we think we re bulletproof. i recall being 16, 17 years old and being in a car with other high school students and driving 100, 120 miles per hour. and yelling and saying, this is a good time. we all could have died in that car. but at 16, 17, 18, 22 years old, you don t think about that. you think you re going to live forever. and in the case of guns, there s also this macho thing. there s this the other guy s in the street in a gun so i should have a gun. there s something that a gun makes me taller or tougher.
