that s what we are saying that in his budget debate they have to be the focus of our conversation not the tax breaks. bill: aren t the poor the focus of all of the spending we do a trillion dollars a year here in social programs to fight poverty. a trillion dollars a year. and it s not enough. bill: how much is enough? how much is enough? until every human, every american can live in dignity. bill: so that means that you want to go in to people and give them enough money so they live in what you call dignity? that s what you want? they want a hand up, not a handout. we are talking about opportunity. with the problem with the paul ryan budget. bill: wait a minute. there are some people who will not work, who are addicted, who are whatever mental problem they have can t hold a job, what do you do with those people? that s a large majority of the poor here. well, what i m talking about is paul ryan s budget and how it cuts programs for low income people.

agree with what romney thinks and sometimes not. the bottom line is with msnbc s reputation of being so in the tank for obama on some issues and saying such incendiary things, whether it s chris matthews last week, whatever he said about the republic party being the grand wizard party or the grand wizard group, it s pretty incendiary stuff. bill: it is a matter of degree. and over at msnbc everybody is in the tank. i don t know one person maybe scarborough in the morning. he might be skeptical of obama a little bit. yeah. bill: but that s it. here, it s all over the place. every show is different. every show has a different tempo and different tone. but i am encouraged, because i haven t come because i have come down hard on nbc in the last few weeks. i m encouraged that they recognize that their brand is being hurt. i will point to good morning america in the morning surging up against the today show
loan interest rates that s coming up and turns it into a political attack on republicans in congress who actually agree with him on this issue. and that perceives to be crossing the line. bill: democrats on his trip? you know, he tried to stay away from partisan comments like that. he tried to stay away from saying republicans and democrats and he particularly tried to stay away from saying my opponent in the presidential race. i assume these speeches that president obama has given go through a staff process at the white house where everybody signs off on it and he has explicitly political references, attacks on republicans in congress and he literally in his speeches talks about people running for office this year clear reference. bill: from now on, this is very interesting. from now on, we are going to watch to see when the president says he is traveling on official duties, which he is allowed, of course, to do, to see if he does attack mitt romney and the republicans. tick it
