healthy leads here and so republicans i mean, from where i sit, the republicans could be pretty confident and say let the recount proceed, we have nothing to worry about. you are looking at republicans instead of taking a calm and confident victory lap seem to feel they need to discredit the recount every way possible. that suggests to me that there s merit, they are concerned about how it s going to turnout. the democratic lawyers are pointing out that recounts historically help democratic candidates. there are plenty of things we don t know. at the end of the day, the legislative determination was is if something was .5%, you don t know how it s going to turn out. do a machinery count. if it s . 25%, then it has to be
governor s race. they are looking for the votes there. they are looking under tables. there s a lot going on. all counties in florida, the results must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. by thursday, and before the counts is in, trump is trying to accuse some of trying to steal the election. here we have three re-counts that are proceeding by law, the law dictates if the vote is within .5% there s a recount. yeah, it s called the machinery count for the first stage, and then there s a manuel recount where they look at each ballot. that s the really time consuming one and that only applies so far in the in the race because that one is within .25%, and .5% you
within the realm of possibilities given where the ballots are and given where these concerns are. they are in places where there are a lot of democratic votes. they are legitimately concerned about that. why leave any votes on the table? this was the theme of the dems in the 2000 and the same now, count all the votes. in 2000, the margins between gore and bush was 535 votes. this is 12,000 between nelson and governor scott. that s a lot. the machinery count is where a lot of votes can advantage, so we will know, i think, fairly soon whether the margin has is realistically close. in the hand recount you are not going to switch 12,000 votes but in a machinery count you can votes that are not found. what the hand recount can do
all of the counties in florida have to have the unofficial results into the secretary of state office. they will tabulate the votes. if it is within a half percent margin, that will trigger automatic recount. that will be a machinery count. and from there, each county will machine recount and from there, they will recount. there s an influx of high profile lawyers on both sides that descended here in florida. there have been lawsuits filed by both parties, by both candidates in the state of florida. one against broward county supervisor of elections, but what s important to note is that department of law enforcement within the state of florida has detected no criminal activity. they have not been asked to investigate any criminal activity now. what we ve got to get to is this 12:00 deadline. that s when the ball moves
