Provincial Police say the opioid crisis continues to affect people from communities across Ontario, especially in the Central and West Regions.
There was a 38% increase in overdoses attended by the OPP from 2019 to 2020.
Most cases happened inside a home.
Police say frontline officers have been able to save 210 lives by administering naloxone since September 2017.
The majority, 68%, of recipients were men and 32% were women.
The average age of recipients was 34.8 for women and 35.5 for men.
OPP say they continue to work on programs to help individuals suffering from substance use, while holding drug traffickers who cause these overdoses accountable.
