The United Democratic Party (UDA) which has been linked to Deputy President William Ruto, has announced that Bishop Margaret Wanjiru will fly the party s flag in the Nairobi gubernatorial by-election.
While also unveiling the party s headquarters, UDA party officials also announced the party’s selected candidates who will be fronted for upcoming by-elections for the Machakos Senate seat, Matungu Constituency and Kabuchai Constituency.
While making her remarks, Bishop Wanjiru stated that the party would fight to have a by-election in Nairobi, insisting that their position was based on the law.
She accused powerbrokers of plotting to avoid a by-election by installing a deputy governor who would replace Sonko as the county boss.
