More than 200 boats competed in up to 16 classes, ranging from Optimists (racing in the Thailand Optimist Open Championship) to dinghies, one-design Platus, keelboats and multihulls, as well as RS:One windsurfs and an IOM Radio Controlled class.
Maarten Voogd is the Co-Founder of Simonis Voogd Yacht Design, the company responsible for designing the S\V14 Two-Person Dinghy which has been created to allow disabled people to sail themselves for the first time.
