Top police officers and businessmen are accused in draft indictment of an array of corrupt practices, including collusion, wiping call records and failing to report deviations from tender procedure.
Only three media houses, all electronic, have been allowed to cover the bail application by former national police commissioner Kgomotso Phahlane and his five co-accused in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
Former acting national police commissioner Khomotso Phahlane and his co-accused, Godfrey Mahwayi, Indanathan Kistiah, Maanda Obert Nemutanzhela, Avendra Naidoo, Brainwave Projects 1323CC (as represented by accused two) and Agnes Makhele were on Wednesday released on bail.
