MUMBAI: The BMC s M west ward on Sunday registered an FIR at the Govandi police station against a Chembur resident who flouted the mandatory 14-day quarantine rule despite having tested positive for Covid-19.
Civic authorities said that initially his daughter had tested positive after which her parents had got themselves tested for the virus considering they were high risk contacts and both were found to be positive.
The ward authorities said that they also received complaints from the positive patient s housing society after the 52 year was found moving around in the area despite testing positive for covid-19.
The society members initially called up the civic staff to find out if the concerned person had tested positive considering the test undertaken by the family after his daughter tested positive.
