electric 2022 BMW i4 have been revealed – including the first ever battery-powered performance model from
BMW M – with Australian deliveries to begin in the first quarter of 2022 (January to March inclusive).
BMW will offer two variants of the fully-electric version of the 4 Series Down Under, starting with the
i4 eDrive40 from $99,900 before on-road costs, with the flagship
i4 M50 on sale from $124,900 before on-road costs.
The BMW i4 eDrive40 is powered by a single electric motor driving the rear wheels, producing
250kW and
430Nm.
Range is quoted as 590km based on Europe s WLTP test cycle, with the vehicle completing the 0-100km/h sprint in a claimed 5.7 seconds – or roughly the same acceleration you can expect from the BMW 430i M Sport.

Australian pricing and specifications for the
2022 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe have been confirmed, ahead of first local arrivals between
October and December 2021.
The final member of the 4 Series range to hit Australian showrooms, BMW s latest Gran Coupe model will offer the brand s latest exterior styling, interior technologies and safety features when it hits local roads later this year.
Three variants will be offered in Australia at launch, all employing petrol power –
