means we need to have, you know, joint terrorism task force, fbi. you have fire department. metropolitan police there. also joining me on the line is congressman rungersberger from maryland and the house commerce committee. given what happened yesterday in your home state, in both hanover and also annapolis and now this is frightening. let me say this. the initial segment of this is likely related to the incendiary devices in maryland. the good news is that no injuries. the fire is out. hazmat, fbi are on the scene, and we we have a situation here we re going to have to deal and address. i m concerned. at first i thought this could be a lone wolf, and it still might be, but there s certainly a pattern here we re going to have to deal with. you are saying the two incidents in maryland yesterday and the one we re watching unfold here in washington are
devices. so we have the incidents yesterday. just about this time yesterday. i think they actually were ignited. i think it was 12:25 and 12:45. 20 minutes difference yesterday between the incendiary devices and annapolis and hanover and this here in the district, and it is way too early to say, obviously, that these are connected but it does make one wonder. correct. it appears very coincidental. so you would expect they probably are related. investigators will know for sure when they ve had a chance to analyze in detail all four devices. okay. and, again if you are just now joining us, you are looking at live streaming pictures of this u.s. postal facility. this is northeast washington. it s the 3300 block of v street and metro police are responding to two envelopes that have ignited inside of this postal facility, which was actually designed to screen mail headed for federal buildings in washington, d.c. following the
producers here just arriving on the scene. architecture, what do you know? i can tell you that the aura where we re in right now, it s a fairly residential area micked in with a decent amount of industry, so we re a long way away from the monuments and the white house, but we understand that some of the mail that comes through may go here. a number of streets are blocked off. in light of what happened in maryland yesterday police are not taking any chances on this one. and they blocked off an awful lot of traffic here. lots and lots of flashing lights. not a whole lot to report now, though, brooke. eric, are you seeing any kind of evacuation in the building? yesterday it was 50 in annapolis, 250 in hanover. what about the district evacuationwise? it s kind of tough to tell right now. it looks like folks are packing
