An explosion in an unattached Commerce Township garage containing a butane hash oil laboratory is suspected to be the cause of a fire that injured one person on Bass Lake Road on Saturday, according to a press release issued by the Oakland County Sheriff s Office on Monday.

The Sheriff s Office and the Commerce Township Fire Department responded to the garage fire, where they found a man, standing at the edge of the residence, with severe burns to his face, upper torso and lower arms.
