San Diego firefighters made quick work of a fire in a Midway District business Saturday night.
Someone called 911 just after 7:35 p.m. to report seeing smoke coming from the door of a decorating business on Barnett Avenue at Lytton Street, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Crews quickly arrived, found a fire and had it out within 14 minutes of reaching the building, the agency said. They were able to keep it to the first floor.
Residents of apartments over the business were briefly evacuated but soon allowed to return.
