3 arrested, thousands of pot plants seized after tips lead to Tracy marijuana grow house bust [The Record, Stockton, Calif]
TRACY Two searches of Tracy residences on Friday resulted in thousands of confiscated marijuana plants and multiple arrests.
“You’ve reported, we’re listening,” the Tracy Police Department said in a Facebook post that credited tips from the community for the busts. “Illegal marijuana grows contain hazardous chemicals and electrical work, that make them dangerous and affect the quality of life in a neighborhood.”
According to Tracy police, the Special Investigations Unit completed a search of a house on the 2900 block of Lyon Court. Investigators confiscated 1,524 plants, and Code Enforcement was called for multiple electrical violations. Jiantian Zhang, 42, was arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of operating a drug house.
