UPDATE 12:01PM: The fire has been knocked down, engines are being released from the scene. Central Lyon County Fire responded late Sunday morning to a brush fire in Stagecoach off Santa Fe Trail, which has caused a power outage.
UPDATE 4:30PM: The Nevada Highway Patrol reports one fatality in the crash Wednesday afternoon on US-50 and Highlands in Mound House. Traffic is shut down to one lane for the two-vehicle crash. NHP advises motorists to avoid the area.

UPDATE 2:53PM FROM CARSON CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT: At approximately 12:41 p.m. crews were dispatched to a brush fire in the area of Longview Way, Manhattan Dr., and Spencer St. About 25 firefighters arrived on scene.
