Haircuts, Primark and seeing family: What you re looking forward to when restrictions ease on April 12 Tomorrow (April 12) will see the further easing of lockdown restrictions, with non-essential retail and outdoor hospitality reopening for the first time in months and the ‘stay local’ message ending. Pubs and restaurants will be allowed to serve food and alcohol outdoors. Unlike restrictions in December last year, there will be no need for customers to order a substantial meal with alcoholic drinks, and no curfew. Personal care premises such as hairdressers and beauty salons will be able to open. Indoor leisure facilities such as gyms will also open their doors; as will most outdoor attractions and settings including outdoor hospitality venues, zoos, theme parks and drive-in cinemas.
