NEWPORT Joined by his daughter among a row of empty boots and American flags at Fort Adams State Park, former Marine Officer Ryan Maloney knelt for a few moments in front of a pair to pay his respects.
“I’m just here to visit a few friends,” Newport resident Maloney said. “It’s just a good reminder of the sacrifices of the men and women for their family.”
