Alexandria section of Fairfax County where police are searching for a hit and run driver who mowed down an elderly man last night it happened in this area of franconia road near brooklyn avenue. Not far from edison high school. It happened just before 11 00 p. M. We are about two lights down from the big intersection of franconia and south van dorn. The 69yearold was crossing and stopped in the unprotected median to wait for passing traffic. Thats when he was hit. The driver left the scene. The injured man died. I think this intersection really theres a lot of things to be improved on as far as, you know, the police over here directing traffic to just people aggressive drivers. Now, Fairfax County police dont have much to go on. All they know is that the striking vehicle may have been a white van, possibly white. Murdersuicide in kettering one week ago in the Early Morning hours, and tonight if you take a look behind me you can see dozens and dozens of friends have gathered here for a candlelight vigil. The friends are telling me that they have no idea that there may have been Domestic Violence in the home and they want to draw attention to that. Antoine sullivan killed Tonia Wilkerson Sullivan one week ago here in kettering, and then he took his own life and this was the result of an argument that happened inside the home. Tanya sullivan was the president of a womens Motorcycle Club in maryland and the mother of four children. The youngest is just 3 years old.
