Pilson added that everybody is going through something and the extra snacks will help the educators.
Alignment Bay County Executive Director Aimee Bright credits the community for coming together to support the teachers. She said she believes they deserve it because of what they ve been through the past couple years. We’ve asked a lot of our schools over the last two years, Bright said. We feel it’s important to show teachers and all staff members that they are important in our community.”
Bay District Schools Superintendent Bill Husfelt said the snacks won t lighten the workload teachers have, but they show that teachers are valued. Husfelt said it s refreshing to see the community show its appreciation for the teachers who have been giving it their all.
