When the Ridgecrest City Council met on July 7, Mayor Eric Bruen introduced two special guests: his mother Lynda Frommer and stepfather Gary Frommer, who were visiting from Oregon.
Bruen said that because council meetings were closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic last December, his mother was not able to attend in person to see him sworn in as mayor. My mother is in the audience with my stepfather Gary, Bruen said. I just wanted to say thank you for being here. Thank you for the years of support that you gave me to get me here.
