that is that this case is going to be driven, edward, by the evidence. i think that someone who kills some persons under these circumstances, that they have left a great deal of evidence. i will just about guarantee you that that car, that car, which is a crime scene, is going to give evidence. that apartment in pullman, washington, that he occupied, that is going to be another portion of the crime scene that will give evidence. the great boxer joe lewis said you can run but you can t hide. this guy can t hide from the physical evidence in this case, i believe. edward: especially with all the tools we have. the last 15 seconds, chris, i want to ask you, how much information do you think is going to be in this affidavit? yeah, i think it s going to be the basics to support the charge of murder and burglary.
information we can share by the court process and by laws in our state of idaho. so we will share as he shared, mr. thompson is absolutely committed to share everything he can share through the court process. we ve got to make sure that we don t get in front of that process. and we really appreciate everybody s support here, the relationships that were forced here and the partnerships forged here. based on that, why we re here today. and we continue to believe that the best way we can honor these four lives that have been taken is to make sure that we have a successful outcome here. one of the partnerships that has been forged is a partnership with the university of idaho. with that i d like to introduce mr. scott green. thank you. good afternoon. scott green, president of the university of idaho.
appreciation to our local community. the people of idaho and those throughout our nation that provided information to help us investigate these murders has been very impressive. we received over 19,000 tips, and we have conducted over 300 interviews. to recap this case, on the evening of november 12, kaylee and madison arrived home at about 1:56 a.m. after visiting a local bar and street food vendor. ethan, xana were at a sigma ki house before arriving home around 1:45 a.m. the two surviving roommates had also been in the community, but returned around 1:00 a.m. on the morning of november 13, a 911 call was made at 11:58 a.m. reporting an unconscious person at the residence.
what are agents looking for in pennsylvania now specifically? they haven t been able to get in to the house where he s been staying for presumably the last couple weeks until now. well, the car is the motherload for all the information that they re going to find. hopefully they find something in the residence as well. you know, like the knife would be the big ticket item. in the car, they re looking for any type of blood pattern and any time of blood splatter. any type of hairs and fibers of any of the victims. this particular offender feels that he s smarter than everyone else as you can tell business hi postings on redit and other platforms. so he really thinks that he outsmarted everyone. why he kept the car, i can only imagine that he did so because he couldn t really explain to his mom why he couldn t keep his car. but they re going to find all kinds of evidence in there and they re going to find it in unlikely places.
through the criminal justice system begins. we did try to go in to this facility earlier today to see if there was any chance to get a visitation. obviously the answer was no. we will wait for more information to come out both from idaho and here in pennsylvania. we have crews outside of the home where the arrest was made. there is a high presence of law enforcement there. they re not letting anybody near that home waiting for statements from the family as well. back to you. we ll be all over this. thanks, laura. the 28-year-old will be in court again on tuesday. we ll learn when and if he will fight extradition at that tuesday. so joining me now is former d.c. homicide detective and fox news contributor, ted williams and former fbi assist about the director chris swecker. good to see you both. i want to start with you, chris. i assume that the fbi would have helped with the trail that led more than 2,500 miles from the criminal seen. what kind of things behind the
